2014 Marathon de Québec

This year we celebrate the 15th edition of the Marathon de Québec. Skaters will race on the magnificent ice of the Gaetan-Boucher Olympic Oval in Ste-Foy (Quebec City). Saturday's 25km will be part of the MSI Points Series, with chip-timing courtesy of MSI.

FRIDAY, 28 Nov


SUNDAY, 30 Nov

5 to 8 PM: Race bag distribution (late registration subject to late fees)
2nd floor

3 to 4:30 PM: Race bag distribution (end of late registration, subject to late fees)

2nd floor

7:30 - 8 AM: End of registration for the « Roses Arctiques ». Women only, late fees not applicable

6 to 7 PM: Skating session, free to all participants

5 to 5:20 PM: Warm up

8:00 to 8:20 AM: Warm up skating


5:30: Start of the 25km 

8:30: Start of the Arctic Roses 10km (Women only)


7 to 8 PM: Reception and 25km awards ceremony. Cocktail formula ($2/drink) free non-alcoholic drinks

8:30 - 9:30 AM: End of registration for One Hour Challenge (Subject to late fees if you were not already registered online)


10:30 AM: One hour Challenge



12 to 2 PM: Awards and free lunch for participants ($10 for others)

Online registration is required before midnight on November 27. On-site registration will incur higher fees: $60 for one race, $80 for two.

1 distance - $40 (25km or One Hour Challenge)
2 distances - $65 (25km and One Hour Challenge)
Arctic Roses 10 K (women only)- $5

1. Slow skaters must skate inside the track, on the left.
2. Passing must be done on the right, outside.
3. Drafting is permitted even if you have been passed by the lead pack.
