The CARA (Corporation d'Aménagement de la Rivière l'Assomption) is pleased to announce the North American marathon championship in collaboration with Les Patineurs Maîtres de Québec, Speed Skating Canada, Marathon Skating International, and the Fédération de Patinage de Vitesse du Québec. Electronic timing provided by Marathon Skating International.

Preliminary schedule
Friday, February 12
17h00 to 21h00 : Registration at the CARA pavillion, in the park on the river, 100 Rue Fabre, southeast of the intersection of Boulevard Firestone and Rue St-Charles-Borromée.
Saturday, February 13
08h00 to 09h30: Registration
10h00: 25K start, North American championship only. For insurance purposes, skater must be registered with a Speed Skating Canada federation or US Speedskating.*
11h30: 10K start, recreational skaters—popular event
12h30: 2,5K and 5K simultaneous start, recreational skaters—popular event
13h30: Awards at the official hotel
Sunday, February 14
08h00 à 08h15: Registration for the 50K
08h30: 50K start, North American championship only. For insurance purposes, skater must be registered with a Speed Skating Canada federation or US Speedskating.*
11h00: End of the 50K race
12h30: Awards and lunch "cabane à sucre"
* Any skater not affiliated with a speed skating association or federation MAY SKATE in the North American Championship races by paying a one-day fee of $5.00. This represents a savings of $71.
